Clearout brings Okta Single Sign-On (SSO) integration for seamless, secure login. Follow the instructions below to set up Okta SSO for your Clearout account.

Requirements

  • Admin access to an Okta organization is necessary.
  • Okta SSO integration is specifically available for team account owners who have registered with a business email address.
  • If you haven't set up a Clearout team account yet, you can sign up and upgrade to a team account for free, enabling seamless access to the Okta SSO feature.

Supported Features

  • Service Provider (SP)-Initiated Authentication (SSO) Flow: This occurs when users log in from Clearout's login page.

Configuration Steps

  1. In Okta, navigate to Applications -> Browse App Catalog, and search for clearout.io and add Clearout app
  2. Assign the appropriate users or groups who should have access to Clearout.
  3. Go to Clearout App in Okta -> Sign On tab, and note down the Client ID and Client Secret.
  4. Within your Clearout Account, Navigate to My Account -> Authentication Page.
  5. Copy & Paste the Client ID, Client Secret, and Okta Issuer URL -> Sign on tab in the relevant fields on Clearout settings.
  6. Click Save and complete the account verification process to finalize the Okta configuration.

Logging Into Clearout Using Okta

Once Okta SSO is configured, users can log in or sign up through Okta by following these steps:

  1. Go to Clearout Login page.
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. Click on Login to continue logging in to your account with Okta

Notes

  • After enabling Okta SSO, users must log in via Okta, as old passwords will no longer work for existing users.
  • User Federation and role management are not supported, users and roles need to be managed via Clearout's Admin settings page.
